new fairings?
I saw a 600 cbr f on ebay and it had 954 fairings on it. it looked damn good, and i was wondering if anyone has done this on here?
I see thta some of you have done the 6rr tail, any welding? or just new brackets?
reason i ask is i was planning on buying a f2-3, but ended up buying a bmw
and then i could afford to buy one, so now im looking at the canes and was looking for a diff, style.
one more question is is the riding postion really far forward, cause the newer bikes are to far forward for me.
thanks

954, no. 1000rr or 600rr, yes.
no welding required but probably wouldn't hurt. all, as far as i know, have been homemade brackets.
compared to latest incarnation of cbr, riding position would be considered comfortable by most. not completely upright, but not completely leaned over the tank. very good ergos for arms and legs. but that really depends on how tall you are. if you are between 5'6 and 6, you should be fine.

stock gauges can be used.
as far as how close the fairing will fitup with the stator, that is something that you will have to find out for yourself. but expect to hack some portion of the fairing to make it fit properly
