You need a special manifold gauge set. This is the part where I suggest you take the bike to a professional. Being off even one tooth/link in your timing is enough to cause serious valve train damage.

I re-read this thread and you never actually measured compression. You NEED to do this before you try anything else. A gauge with a rubber end shouldn't be very expensive and it will help find or eliminate possible reasons for the no-start.
