Default Multi-problems today(bad DAy) Fuel pump ???

Ok i stopped for a drink at a store ran in real quick left bike running came out it was overheating. So i killed it let it sit and cool, drove it home 2 miles. Then about an hour later i head out to school, and i got about 5 miles and it starts boggin down, i hit the throttle it bogs. Then its just idling and the throttle not making a differences if its wide open or what not. Then it just died. I just replaced the R/R and battery.

Update and question so i did a little test today fuel filters clean, but i check fluid from the fuel pump it puts out like 3 drops in 5 seconds or a little less. Is that correct? I dont have a cc tube to measure the exact amount, but it seems like not enough.

Yea fan was on!
I added water it ran fine, not geting hot.

But as for cleaning the carbs i think your right, i thinks that is in relation to my startup problem. It will start up fine when its cold, but once it gets warm it wont start sometimes and sounds like its starving for fuel, even if i put choke on. Or could that be more of fuel pump ordirty fuel filter?

There is a filter in the tank on the fuel petcock assembley... if the filter in the tank is blocked your bike might be staving for fuel.

Or the fuel pump has crapped out or the fuel pump relay..... or when my '88 gets really hot in July or August it bogs down or won't start after being off for a short time.. ( vapor lock maybe...IDK )
