Default lowering an old cane?

is it possible to get my 88 a little lower thn it is now? just put a corbin on it and it is a lot more comfortable, but a tad too high now.. I am short and light for the most part... 5'9" and about 160lbs... so I have a hard time backing it up now love the seat though lol! any thoughs are great!

5'9" is short? and 160lb is light?

i would not recommend lowering the bike since it would mess with the stability. i don't know how much you want to lower the bike but you can't really lower the rear, only the front. and in doing so, causes the bike to become a bit twitchy.

i suppose if you really wanted to lower the bike, you could lengthen the shock link but there isn't any aftermarket item sold that i know of that you could buy to replace this to lower the bike.

well, short compared to most. how about slightly shorter than average?? lol! I know there arent any lowering links sold, so I wasn't sure if it had been done other ways. thanks!

ive ridden my cane lowered, just for cosmetics and it sucks. honestly, im 5'10" and my knees are bent with my feet flat on the ground, they dont come much lower than these things. once you lower it youre going to bottom out alot, and the fender and tire will make pretty steady contact with the header.

i know a guy whos 5'7" who rides a supermotard, he has to like jump onto it, consider yourself lucky you can get on your bike at all. honestly, i dont know many ways to lower these things that isnt going to make it handle like crap, ive tried them all.
