Default LF: exhaust bracket

Hey people,

I'm looking for 4 exhaust brackets (the thing that mounts the exhaust header to the engine). I've been restoring my '87 hurricane for a few years now and it appears that those pieces went missing! I'd order new ones but they've been discontinued according to my local honda dealer.

I'd also be willing to buy a set of 4 gaskets if anyone has those too.

Thanks, Preston

they have the gaskets on ebay right now for about $8 + shipping. May find mounts there as well.

I don't know that much about it. I know I have a one piece exhaust that came on the bike when I bought it. I just saw the gasketson eBay over the weekend.

On my bike, all I have are studs sticking out the block to mount the exhaust to the engine. I just pulled my exhaust the other day.

*** If you are talking about the part that is on the header, then I think it is part of the header.

Looks like brackets are part of the header...

Thanks for the replies. I think that my setup is a little different from the pictures posted. On my header there seems to be a removable collar that slides inbetween the bracket and the flanged end on the header. By pulling off this collar, the bracket can be completely removed from the header. I'd post a picture but I don't have the pieces in front of me.

I checked with my local honda guy and their microfiche agrees with this. Perhaps you guys have replacement headers? Or maybe this is a canada/us difference?

Anyways I'll keep hunting :-)

I have seen whole OEM used exhaust systems go on eBay for cheap. If you don't see any current auctions then do a search on ended auctions to see if any didn't sell. If they didn't sell, contact the seller.

Hope you find what you need.

The original exhaust is a black painted steel header, not chromed like the one pictured.
