Heh thats's spooky, randomly checking for new posts and this one comes back up
The bike was sold to my m8 recently, just before newby disappeared to Canada to be with his mrs.
It's had a few teething problems, its currently sitting at my house and I've been giving it a bit of a going over whilst my m8 is doing his bike test.
Had a couple of issues. the oil leak reappeared once the engine warmed up. i have since retightened the jubilee clip and put a spot of liquid gasket on it. hopefully that'll keep it sealed.
brake light was permanently on but a quick inspection found the rear brake switch had gotten snagged so that was quickly sorted. probably due to the rearsets that had been put on it, think i'll suggest getting some standard pegs especially as this is goin to be his main transport and the rearsets are a big extreme even for me and im about 5inches shorter than he is
noticed a couple of exposed connections along the frame so insulated those
retaining clip hadnt been put back on the fuel tap - much to my surprise when wandering around the bike after riding it to my house from my lockup only to wonder where the rather strong smell of petrol is coming from. so sorted that
throttle grip split a little so glued that up
and the front tyre has a slow puncture too which is a bit of an **** but it happens. found it completely flat when i went to pick it up after being in the lockup for a week.
ah well.. a few teething problems but apart from that shes a goodun
