Yes 90' was the change. In addition, 1990s had 34mm keihins instead of the 87-89 32mm. So . . . .if you put a 90' engine in your bike (which is what I did) and use your 87-89 carbs (which is what I did) it's gonna be kind of a guess as to what your real hp is. But "GO" is "GO", I guess. It goes faster than I want to.

more air in, slightly better throttle response. will it make a noticable difference? maybe depending on the state of tune of the engine. on a california bike, probably none at all given the emissions stuff everywhere.

your best advises would be keep the stock pipe +4 advance and -1/+2 with some 93octane(most people run 87 or 89 here i run 93+ jsut because i am perticular about it and you should be fine!!

I run a 89 with -1 front and a 160/60 tire in the rear. Kerker Pipe , A"little" carb and engine work then add In some
CITGO 114 low leadandWOW
My buddie has a 03 F4 and 0-100 It was close but I had him consistantly by about a bike and a half!! 89' takes the 03' oh yea

i have -1+2 setup 530 pitch. i give it a snap of the throttle in 1st or 2nd and it comes right up if i dont lean down. mine dies about 130 tops out about 135-138 but thats all i need. i think your best advises would be keep the stock pipe +4 advance and -1/+2 with some 93octane(most people run 87 or 89 here i run 93+ jsut because i am perticular about it and you should be fine!!
530 is the stock pitch, right? I want to regear mine this winter, and maybe the ignition advance, cant remember the place that sells them off the top of my head.

When I started riding about a year and a half ago. My first bike was a 95 seca II, and my second one, was a 1990 cbr600 that was stolen about 6 hours after I got it. Since then, ive always wanted to get another cbr...I guess kinda out of spite you know? Anyways, I just sold my 1984 gpz900 and saw a good deal on a 87 cbr600. I jumped on the deal, but im a little dissapointed. It just doesnt seem as fast as I remembered it being. I know it has about 10 horses less than the 90, I guess what im trying to say is that the hurricane seems really tame when accelerating. My bike has 27k on it, and im thinking that the easiest thing to do to make it yank my arms off is to put a different sprocket on. What are your guys experiences with the aftermarket sprockets for this bike? Please be specific with your weight, the amount of teeth, power wheelability, and whether you stunt or commute with it.
Maybe you have a CA bike like I do. It's probably -10HP from the 49 state hurricanes. The cams and timing are grously retarted (literally)!

unless you know of someone else, factory pro is the only one's making stuff, or at the very least, this stuff.
