LOL.
For it's time it was bad ***. One of the most fun bikes I've owned. With a good rider it will hang with a new bike in the tight stuff. Looks dated, but fun none the less.

I love it. Never had another bike, so I have no basis for comparison. However, I have not had a problem keeping up with 2000+ 600s and 750s. Hell even some 1000s, just depends on the rider I guess. Good to learn how to work on a bike too.

How would I rate it? Its a keeper.
I bought mine new in 1987, drove it out the back door of Turple Bros. It was a giant killer...nothing could touch it. I could ride away from others in the corners at will. Bigger bikes could catch me when the road straightened out.
The Hurricane is and was one of the most confidence inspiring rides out there. Stable handling...riding like it was on rails through the corners, being able to change lines without upsetting the chassis made it more work to ride than some of the competition.
It was that handling that made it an excellent machine for advanced rider to thrash but also one of the best bikes to throw a novice on to learn. I taught many people over the years on it.
Yup... definitely a keeper.
