I have a cheap and simple way.Pull the end of the can and get some screen (like goes around house windows)and wrap 2 layers over the end of the inner tube.Causes the sound to reverberate back to the packing and works as a spark arrestor.Makes it alot quieter.Hey it worked for my race fourwheeler.

 

sounds good. can I just use fiberglass wrap from the hardware store - the stuff they use for insulation? or will that stuff burn too easily? my pipe has a baffle in it, but the old fiberglass is all burned away or rotted away.

 

Supertrapp pipeswere out when these bikescould be found in the showrooms. They had tunable baffles, basically a stack of discs spaced and bolted on the end of the exhaust

 

I think the hardware store fiberglass will work fine. dislike supertrapp's pipe personally. they're ugly to me.

 

I agree ugly as hell but tunable. I will stick with a vance and hines.

 

loud pipes save lives. plus the easiest way to quiet the bike is to put the oem can back on.
