How To: Make a petcock ****
when i bought my hurricane the petcock **** was missing and i couldnt find one anywhere.. i looked on ebay and cl and nothing.. lots of petcocks with ***** included, but i wasnt about to pay $60+ just to get a ****.. so i made one.
what you'll need:
-1.5" piece of allthread (not sure exactly what size. my dad had some laying around that just so happened to fit)
-screw on **** the same size and thread type as the allthread
-2 nuts that will fit the allthread
What to do:
1. screw both nuts onto the allthread
2. screw **** onto one side of allthread
3. tighten one of the nuts onto the **** to lock it in place and keep it from twisting off when you go to switch petcock off or on
4. twist the allthread into the threaded hole of your petcock
5. tighten the other nut down to the petcock to lock it
6. enjoy.
unfortunately i forgot to take pictures while i was doing this, but i will try to take pictures of the finished product tomorrow when its not dark outside.
note: make sure the locking nuts are really tight, otherwise the new **** will come off when you twist it to the left.
