Default Hi Everyone

Well i've been on these forums for a few months now since i got my bike figured i would finally say hi. Well i have an 89 cbr 600 and have been wrenching away since i got it 3 months ago. its my first rocket and i love it. it's still running strong after 34k miles. So far i have a k&n filter, jet kit, kerker condom muffler, factory pro +6 timing advancer, and have a 14t front sprocket and an HID headlight kit on the way. its black with no side fairings. It's pretty sweet and quick too, haha. I'm running perilli diablos front and back, the front is a 120/60-17 and the back is a 160/60-17. It handles the twisties really sweet and is getting pretty quick with the upgrades. I'm pretty sure the cct is going out so ill be ordering the new manual cct soon aswell

I'd return the HID kit if I were you as your headlight isn't designed for the beam pattern that the HID kit will output. Your lighting likely will be worse than a stock bulb.....

It not to say that the kit won't physically fit (it will likely). Its that your housing isn't designed to properly reflect the light at which HID kits launch their beam from. This causes an erratic beam pattern having the following consequences:

A) Poor lighting at night.
B) Accidentally blinding oncoming drivers.

Anyways, just food for thought.....

How do you like the +6 Timing advancer? Noticeable difference? What parts of the rpm range did it improve?

Plenty of people on here have an HID for their headlight, you will be fine with it.
