Default Help please.

Hey all,

i bought an 87 hurricane 600 yesterday for 400 bucks off of a kid a few towns over. He said the bike needed a new stator and battery and is in decent running condition.

However, i pulled the bike apart with a friend today and underneath the carbs i found this little input with two bolt inputs on the left and right.

Can anyone tell me what should be in that hole?

Also if theres anyone in the MA area that knows about cbr's, im looking to pay someone to come check this thing out and tell me what i need.

Thanks for your help
-Tim

Help please.-downsized_0810001538.jpg

This hole is located directly underneath the carbs on the back of the cylinder head, next to a cooling line.

The holes about an inch long, and if you stick your finger in you can feel something like a butterfly valve almost

Those things are very unsafe. They can roll over, or run into things (in this case, things includes other children) , or sometimes kids go out on the road with them. Plus, your kid won't get as fat if they ride a bike. If you still want one, go on ebay and search "barbie jeep". Before you purchase it, insure that it is not a barbie SIZED jeep.

thats where the cam chain tensioner goes.
i dont know if it would jump time without it in place?
might be wise to pull the cylinder head cover, line up top dead center, and check your cam timing marks.
