Well i finally got the bike on the road and its been running great anything over 4k and higher. My first problem is at around 3k i get a nasty *** backfire and when at a redlight and i go to roll out it can cause the bike to stall. i do not know what is causing this its about 85 over here today and im runnin dpr9ea's the heat range colder plugs well i thought about running the hotter plug the 8 heat range plug. but i dont know if that would help.

My second problem is after about 95-105 mph the bike seems to want to hit a brick wall wont really want to scream anymore. I know i need to readjust the vavles and i plan on doing that on friday morning with my buddy. anything else you guys could think that could cause that.

and my third and final problem. the bike hasnt gotten this hot yet but finally has but im runnin in about the middle of the guage fan is coming on but it will want to die at a stop light i have to constantly rev it to keep it from dying.

any help on any of these problems would be wonderful. other than that the bike is a blast to drive i have never had this much fun in my car when it was turbo. im learning alot and its fun. if i can fix these couple problems i will be in heaven!

You probably need to pull the carbs off and clean them if you haven't already done so. Sounds like your slow jets are clogging. As far as the 95-105 deal, I wouldn't be going that fast until it runs a little better

 

ill pull them off and reclean them again. thanks for the input i think im gonna run some seafoam thru the fuel system and see what happens. i should be doing the vavle adjustment on sunday so ill let you all know how that goes

 

well i figured out my problem where it wants to run out of steam at high speeds. the crank case breather setup wasnt connected to the air box causing alot of crank case pressure i connected it yesterday and she is a whole new bike. i need to change the header gaskets cuz i think they might be leaking a little swap down to the 8 heat range plugs and run some seafoam thru the bike! she is runnin better and better though

 

boy, a fix like that is always nice. Cheap with huge results. nice.

 

i hate riding thru my little town because of my miss at 3k and thats where the bike ususally stays at thru town and in 1st gear slow slow speeds it sucks im hoping the seafoam helps alot
