Hi,

I've been working on my bike for about 4 months both independent and with a really good shop here in atlanta. The previous owner didnt seem to do any maintenance at all and but the engine is still sound with about 12k miles. For some reason the previous owner had put the wrong rear shock on it. I finally found a good original part, took it to the shop for a swap out and we find out that the frame is totally bent; to the point that we cant remove the old shock at all.

I want to push ahead with the project, there is enough good on the bike and a solid engine to make it worthwhile. I see frames on ebay for $200-$500.

My question: anyone else have experience swapping onto a new frame? Things to watch out for? Tips? A big concern is certifying the new frame is true, any recommended sourcesout there?
