I finally got a hurricane. I've always wanted the late 80's, early 90's bikes. Just look so much better IMO.

Any suggestions as it's a bit hard to search though this whole forum

Welcome and congrats on the new to you bike. They are great old bikes. There are lots of people here with experience twisting wrenches and troubleshooting. Ask away.

Sorry I should've been more specific in my question.

Any mod recommendations?

It is in good condition minus the previous owner having dropped the bike twice, once on each side causing some fairing damage. Nothing that I am worried about.

I'll be changing the oil today or tomorrow and might clean the carbs next week if I have the time. Then I'll change the spark plugs.

go through it and make sure everything is in good condition, sounds like with the oil change, carb clean you are well on your way. I have an ignition advancer, vance and hines slipon, jet kit, and kn air filter/drilled airbox and it runs awesome. not sure on the brand of jet kit, but don't really think that would be too important. and I can't really comment on the difference all the mods made, as the only one that I added was the ignition advance and that made it more snappy on the low end and a little more power throughout I thought. not a huge difference, but enough for me to like it. the rest was all done when I got the bike. enjoy it, and ask away whatever questions you have!
