Default Fairing Bolts

I just have a quick question.
I just currently purchased a 1990 600F and am starting to work on the entire thing but when i purchased it, i noticed that a few of the fairings were zip-tied onto the frame. I was just wondering if there was a fairing bolt-kit still around somewhere for this year model because i know there are kits for other CBR's. If not would anybody know the size of the bolts needed or if bolts from an F2 would fit?

any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Not for this specific model. Most of the rear plastics have some kind of special fastener or grommet-and-clip. If you really want stock bolts, you will probably have to use a fiche parts finder and order them OEM.

It doesn't matter if they are stock or not but im wondering if theres some type of bolt that i can just pick up at a hardware store that will do the job because it is the side fairings which need to be bolted on.

I got mine at lowes in the stainless steel section, I swapped them to 6mm allen head style with a stainless washer. I think I payed about $6 for all new bolts, washers and some new speed clips for the front fairing.

My local Honda Dealer ship has allen bolt kits for just body, and kits for engine. There like $9 , so check your local dealer, you never know

You can usually buy the right size at the hardware store, but the "Flange" style bolt is kind of hard to find. If you want those you might have to order, like rrasco said. To find stock sizes, go to something like www.mrcycles.com and look at a parts diagram.

My bike had some spares screwed into flanges attached to the top of the swingarm on either side. I think that's what they are at least, there's nothing that attached to them on either side, they're just threaded into holes.

Does your bike have the rear fender and chain guard removed?

I didn't realize they even came with that, haha. That would explain these "Free" bolts
