F1 vs F2

F1 vs F2
Hey all,
I'm looking into getting a CBR 600, and I'm torn between the F1 and the F2. While the F2 definitely looks newer, how big is the difference in how they handle?
I care about the cornering abilites of the bike, not so much if it has 85 or 100 bhp.
It also has to be reliable, as I'm gonna use it for driving to school every day.
The cheapest F1/Hurricane I could find is an 87' with 49088 miles on it, for $3,700 USD.
And the cheapest F2 I could find is a 93' with 57166 miles, for $4,950 USD.
Given the price difference, and my requirements, would an F1 be fine, or should I go for the F2 (and why?)?

It's because I'm from Denmark where we have one of the worlds highest tax rates for vehicles
We pay 180% Tax on bikes and cars... and on top of that 25% VAT/Sales Tax.
As a rule of thumb, if you multiply the price of a bike/car in USA by three, you have a rough estimate of how much it costs in Denmark... I'll give a few depressing examples down below (I'll be using XE - The World's Favorite Currency and Foreign Exchange Site for the conversion):
Honda CBR 1000RR = $46,064 USD
Kawasaki Ninja 250R = $12,444 USD
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX 1300 RK9 = $40,238 USD
Yamaha YZF-R6 = $38,318 USD

F2 hands down will win in the corners, its lighter, has bigger tyres, better brakes and suspention(94 got cartridge forks with rebound and preload adjustment).
"Its a honda" so as long as you keep up the maintenance they will be as reliable as any other bike, f2 a little more because its newer.
But the question is are you buying this bike just for transport to school, Or as a toy/hobby you enjoy riding and carving up the turns on? If its the later then spend a bit more and get the f2.
Im sure Jesse will chime in soon as he's owned both and would have more of an idea, if he's not to busy on the gixxer forums
