I was wearing full leather at the time. A cow gave up his skin to save mine!
And now... the bike

So the good... it still runs and the frame/forks still seem straight. The fairing stay is toast, as well as the left rear set and plastics. Not sure where I am going to go with it just yet...

Today I am out of hospital (Tuesday July 30)
Damage:
Disloacted L Shoulder
Significant soft tissue damage on my left humerus.
Broken #1 left rib
Torn #1 left rib cartilage between rib and sternum.
Back is basically all soft tissue damage.
Bruised left lung, pneumothorax, pleural effusion in L Lung.
Concussion
Here is the road rash today

Not too bad... I'll get the gear pictures up when I get the gear back.

Basically what I was told happened is a put the apex too early, so I ran wide in the turn, and didn't correct enough. I rode onto the sidewalk and got into some grass, which caused me to highside.

WEAR YOUR GEAR PEOPLE!

Sorry to hear about your accident Corruptfile - and glad you are ok and on the mend. Take it slow man - chill and let the body heal.

As for the bike - it looks repairable. If you liked riding it, fix it. If not pass it on and find another.

And good to see you were ATGATT. There's a lesson in that for all of us.

Take care.

Cheers, SB

Definitely repairable. Bike still starts and runs just as if nothing happened. I'll be holding on to her

Oh yes, anything other than slow and controlled breathing is ill advised! This is our local ducati dealership. They have a 1199 sitting inside. Don't think that would be advisable though

All in all, amazed how well the gear held up. Especially the jacket, which I thought would have come apart, seeing as it was a ebay special...

Got some decent rash on your helmet.... and some people prefer to ride without. Thanks for posting.
