So thats what an F1 looks like with all it's fairings, no spray paint, and no TapOut stickers all over it

Seriously though. They were amazing bikes for the time. I'm glad to own one now.

I,ve had mine almost a year now,in England were I come from, they are a very under estimated bike, people think there old and out of date, and don,t really bother with them, but I,m trying to keep mine as nice as I can,as I think one day soon, that folks will realise just how important these little gems are,,,,,,,,oh and its a cracking write up,,,,,,,,,,,well done

I was on the hunt for a "new" bike a couple weeks ago, and I found an '89 cbr 600 that seemed like a good deal on craigslist. It has 15k, runs well, and seems well maintained. It does not quite hit the "cool nerve" like a new RR. Due to my allowance, my other options were a few beat up late 90's gixxers and cbr's that were probably ridden to hell and back by some squids. I decided that even though this old bike was a bit of an ugly duckling, it ran well and was worth looking into. I found this review after googling the Hurricane a bit and knew that it was a winner. I went to check it out, and brought her home. I am now in love with the bike, and proud to have piece of history in my garage. Awesome write up, thanks

Default My first bike

I picked up a CBR600FL last year and I love it. She is a bit beat up and rattles a bit too( timing chain tensioner), and it has 30,000 miles on it. I got it with a SuperTrapp on it and i t sounds great. I get comments from everyone about how well it goes for being so old. I ride this bike everyday and put about 9,000 miles on it this summer and wished I could have done more. The best thing about the bike is the blast of power you get between 7,000 & 8,000 rpms. I will ride this bike til it falls apart. Did I mention I only paid $700 for it? :-)
