Hey guys, im new to the whole motorcycle thing, and im trying to fix my cbr600 up.

I just recently took the tank off, and on the bottom nothing was connected. There are two ports, and i know one of em is for the fuel line, but what is this other one used for?

If anyone could help that would be great.

should be for the overflow, 'pose' to be a hose attached to running to the bottom of the bike.

 

Overflow in case you put in too much fuel with the gas cap off. Should drain into a little rubber cup that has a drain tube to the bottom of the bike.

 

he is absolutely correct. If your line is missing, you can pick up some small diameter fuel line and run it down to the bottom of the bike and clamp it to the bike.

 

there isn't a line connected directly to it. it meets up with a rubber cup at the battery box and then drains overboard.

 

Along with the bilge water....Arrrgh!
