Default bhp dyno ?

what bhp did your cane manage on the dyno ?
im looking to see what they can really do
.
cbr 400s are 56 bhp stock and when tuned right you can reach 70bhp
so our 600 are 93bhp(1990)83bhp(1988) stock my question is could we really get 100bhp from our 600 ?
whats your thoughts on how we could achive this
and whats your thoughts

They were rated at 83 at the crank... low to mid 60s at the rear wheel for 87 88

it can be done to both models but easier obviously on the 1990.

1. jet kits and proper carb tuning throughout the rpm range.

2. ignition advancer

3. free flowing exhaust

now for the money upgrades:

1. head work, port and polish.

2. boring out the cylinders

3. custom ground cams

4. race carbs

and last but not least, "was it really necessary to install that item?" category:

1. turbo

2. supercharger

3. nitrous

all this can be done by a competent mechanic. and can be gained by the engine as it is very well designed and manufactured. so much so that i ran with a burst coolant line for several days before realizing it. no warped head and compression in spec on what was a 70,000 mile engine. now around 96,000 miles without a rebuild and still going strong. plenty of auto dynos but maybe 1 or 2 motorcycle dynos in my area and not worth the money to find out how much i am putting out unless i plan on racing. i may entertain the idea if i ever decide to bore my engine out to 650cc or more. but right now it runs great and i ain't f-in with it.
