hi all just been given 6 of these brand new unused batterys my question is could i use one on my 87 cbr 600f the book says the cbr 6 needs 8 amp one these are 7

Yes, you can use it - if it physically fits in the battery tray.

There is just slightly less stored power for starter motor in case if your bike doesn't want to start up. I mean like with 8 amps you can keep cranking 8 minutes and with 7 amps 7 minutes. (I don't mean real minutes here, only to figure the meaning of battery capacities)

does it fit your battery tray? slap it on and test it out, you should be fine tho test it out for a couple days see if it gives you any issues, your using a carb bike they require a lot less electrical than a fuel injected bike you should be fine but after a couple of days get your volt meter and check that voltage man, dang wish you were near me i need a new battery lol

they are identical size to the 8 amp cbr battery and fit in the battery box the same too lol @ reaper101 you need one too then eh :)
