The fuel pump is the same as the F2/F3 pump, but you can run it gravity feed without any problem. I've tested this method, and enjoyed the benefits of it. fuel pumps BLOW.

 

so should i still leave the relay hooked up

 

I'm not really sure on that one. when mine died, I simply disconnected the pump, and capped the wires with no real ill effects.

 

ok that worked, I was so close minded i did not think to even try without it. But after a few minutes running the fuel pump started working cause i heard it ticking like it was empty so I am sceptical on hooking it back up.

F2's don't have fuel pumps...

I didn't think Hurricane's did either...

Petcock runs off vacuum...

 

WRONG! the F2 had the vacuum petcock, and no pump. Hurricanes had an inline pump just like the F3's and NO vacuum petcock.

The original service manual for the 600F shows a pump, which means it has one.

I said the F2 has no fuel pump, which you just agreed with me on, opposite of what you say in your first post?

I said I didn't think the hurricane had a fuel pump, but I guess it does.

 

Ok, I misread what you posted originally, so I say we just call it a draw. you were right about the F2's, although I dont see why they removed the pump on the F2 but the Hurricanes and F3's have them. I dont know, but hey, if it works either way, so be it right?
