Any1 up for a Build day & BBQ??
Hello all,
Had a bit of an idea regarding my re build, I live in Easthampstead, Postcode is RG12, for anyone that doesn't know where that is. I've completely dismantled my lovely CBR 600F
its a 1989, and was bought as my project about a year ago. So far I've replaced or fixed anything that needed it, fully stripped it down!
I ended up using paraffin for most of the clean down, works brilliantly with a dental brush! Again perfect, as its got a curve to it. So it gets in all those nooks.
I ended up getting the whole frame apart, and had it dipped and powder coated. Looks like new. I'm really pleased. Just tap and died all the holes out. Cleaned up all the other parts, still not cleaned the engine! OK OK, its time....But this will be done and re sprayed this week. I haven't started re assemble.
Was wondering if anyone who owns a CBR locally of similar age could pop over, just so I can take some pics for me to use as a good guide, for wiring loom, connections, bolt placement, and for me to note any brackets etc missing, As I know there are a few.
Also, if anyone fancies a build day and BBQ day soon??? A BBQ and drink will be laid on. Not sure if anyone will respond to that, but if there is a good response, could turn it in to a Forum party type thing? Any takers????
Any Help or advice, pictures , you name it, on reassembly, would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance to you all
