Question '88 end can on a '90? ok or no way?

Hey guys n girls

Just bought the end can off an '88 hurricane/ cbr 600f for my 1990 FL.

Was this a dumb thing to do?

I feel pretty stupid after checking out the specs of the fuel system as they changed between these years.

What do you think? Will I get away with it or should I sell it on?

Thanks alot cbrforum-ers

As far as I know the exhaust systems were all the same on the 87-90 600s, at least here in the states. Should be fine I believe..

Thanks tahoerider, that's a small relief.

I purchased the end can off ebay and only after decided to check the fuel system spec in my workshop manual. I noticed that the specs of the carbs changed towards the end of the marque.

Not being an engineer by trade or training I convinced myself that I'd probably made a daft mistake and that the bike needed that end can for its own year.

I reckon if you say it'll be ok then it will be.

Thanks very much for your reply
