I'm in exactly the same boat. The seller wants to trade straight across if they're happy with the XS. Any photos of your Hurricane?

Are the fairings in demand at all? I'll probably only be keeping the tail fairings initially, as I'm pretty set on streetfightering it; there's a full set minus the bottom-most fairing there.

The CBR I'm looking at has the same seat (but white and red). Here's the '82 XS400 aka "Smurfette".

they are headlights from aztec8.com pretty spendy but i love em, and they have excellent light output.

so these seats are oem? they just had different color schemes for the different bikes then eh? i wasnt sure if it was an aftermarket or something.

The stock seat colour is black. Those seats have either been replaced with aftermarket seats or re-covered.

Are you sure it wasn't a factory option? They both look like OEM seats - just covered to match the paint. I've seen other F1s with similar seats.

I bought mine in 1987. The only factory seat color option was black.

when you go to look at that bike check to see what the bottom of the seat says, maybe it will have an aftermarket name on it.

Well, she's mine now! Needs a bit of love, but she runs. I'm thinking streetfighter project over the winter. Anyone want to buy some side fairings (and the inserts)?

I'll take a look under the seat next time I pop it off.
