87 carbs on an 89 motor?

Default 87 carbs on an 89 motor?

i'm looking to get a new sets of carbs my rack is cracked. anyone know if they will just bolt up and work or are they a different size due the the horsepower increase made in 89?

Size should be the same, but '87 lists 8 different carb assemblies. These varied based on engine serial numbers. Not sure what the differences were. I bet any would work, but may (will) have to be jetted properly.

89 Carbs are a larger diameter. Going to the 87 carbs will give you less airflow.
