I have not yet checked the pulse generators. I'll do that soon. I'm just hoping it's the CDI box because it was the incorrect one to begin with. Thanks for your help!

If the PO had no idea why it wouldn't start, then how do you know that the original CDI is bad. There are many things that will keep these bikes from starting. When you jumpered the clutch switch to start it , was the sidestand down? If the sidestand is down then the bike will not start unless it is in neutral. That diode that was fried.... did you replace it? If the diode is bad then the bike will not start in neutral.
Please give more info on what you have replaced and what conditions are when you try to start the bike.

Hello again. I appreciate your help. We made sure the side stand was down and in neutral. We tried different combinations as well and went through some trouble shooting steps in the manual for ignition. We tried trouble shooting steps with the original CDI box and the replacement. I finally received the harness that I won from eBay today as I came home. The harness comes with the clutch switch diode and cdi box. I'm going to try the original cdi box with the new harness and vice versa. I'll update later on tonight. Thanks.

Oh. To answer your previous question. It's a cdi box from an 88.
