Have the carbs been rebuilt and did that make any difference?

Did changing the harness make nay difference to the symptoms?
I ordered a used harness and it said it was for the 87 but it was an rigged 88 harness with all sorts of stuff done to it, I am returning it but until then I have to stick with the harness on the bike, I have someone looking at the carbs tommorow but I don't think the carbs would interfere with the fuel pump relay not getting the correct voltage.

Rather than but a replacement used harness of unknown province or should be far easier to follow the steps I suggested earlier and fix the one you've got.

I'm off on my travels tomorrow so busy packing and I'll be off-line until next week.

found the issue, not sure what it was but I unplugged everything and gave it a good spray with contact cleaner, pump now. Comes on while cranking. Thank you
