i like it the way honda made it,,,
but a few subtle changes for me.

to-do-list

R&G heated grips
mra vario screen
maybe risers,, but i got a set for the F and never fitted them(just put them on ebay and in sales)
chinese adjustable levers in silver
clear indy's front and rear(front are bloody expensive)
xx tank spine,, there was a hrc one on it, but someone's eye was off a bit
i'v a nice ulster one, but the bike is the wrong colour for it

luggage,"undecided" but it will be a small givi top-box if i go for it

and if anyone knows what the sticker bit above the headlight is like on a 1000 aprilia tuono 05,,, there's a grapgite grey bit with the manufacturer's name in it,, well i fancy a wee cosmetic grafix expert cutting me a subtle wee drop between the screen and headlight with honda cut into it,, just to make it my own design.

and if anyone needs 41mm genmar risers with 19mm lift gimme a shout.

I have a blue 2000 CBR 1100XX. I put Givi soft bags on when traveling. The stock screen is actually pretty good. I added peg lowering brackets and handlebar risers for touring comfort. You're gonna love it.

The silver looks really nice.

the wind blast over the stock screen is immense(the way i was riding anyway)

LOL ... I think you're supposed to tuck down. I'm 6'1" and I find it acceptable. Only been up to about 210 on it though. Normal highway riding seemed fine. I've heard mixed reviews about aftermarket screens and head buffeting so I decided to leave it as is. Might not know what I'm missing though.

Nice looking bike. As far as bar risers go you could go with VFR bars. You will need 2002 and later on the VFR bars. They add about the same rise as the Genmar riser kits but look better (stock look) on the bike. I like the stock screen myself. Peg lowering bracket or Buell pegs are a common mod to add a little more leg room.

best is photobucket account and use the link on here,

pic's loaded on any forum are very low quality, to keep the site speed up.

So yesterday was a rather nice day around here so I decided to go out for a ride. I was thinking about the beautiful bike that you just purchased. Then I saw a sign that I thought my fellow XX riders would enjoy. I would have included a pic of my Blackbird in the foreground but I was on my F model so it will have to wait until the next time I'm on my Bird and in that area. Took the CBR1000F as my wife was coming along for the ride and she prefers the F over my XX. This sign is on a bicycle path that I ride quite frequently and the sign is absolutely correct. These birds will dive on you and attack you during their mating season. They normally bounce off of your helmet. They are not very big but it is quite a shock to be riding along and have one of these suckers bang off your noggin. I feel the sign captures the XX perfectly as the XX is know to exhibit agressive behaviour from time to time.
