First off I got to say 140 mph wheelie!! Becarfull!!!I feel there's no reason to go over 85mph depending on what kind of bike you have and the bp. It sounds like your riding power wheelies. I have a 06 cbr 1000 had a cbr 954 I can an could wheelie the hell out of them I hit almost a 3 mile stock gearing 2nd gear around68 to 75 mphstand up on the 954 had to put it down cause my arms. I'm not no stunter but my friend has a 07 gsxr 1000 even I have a hard time with wheelies. I believe that its the slipper clutch. It seems like it just eats the hell out the clutches he put two sets in already.

ok, i have an 08 1000 and had this issue with the stock tire at stock pressure. i dropped pressure to about 25psi and can hold bp now as long as i want without tracking to either side. it is not an issue with the bike being balanced differently but rther an issue with your ability to control the bike. just try different things and it cna be figured out. also, use a 50 and not a 55 tire as this makes it not quite as tall and thus easier as well.
