Default What does CBR stand for?

I may be the only one not to know but I am having a hard time finding out what CBR stands for. I looked in the forum history and it's not standing out. I could start making up my own definition, but I would rather be funny with other bikes not mine. And how about some history if anyone has it. Thanks!!!

How's this courtesy off "Ask Jeeves":

cb is the honda code for road bike.the very first c model was the c100 50cc.the cb range was their roadbike range.cl was road/trail,cd was commuter and so on.cbr basically means cb road r racing.developed from their roadracers on the tracks the abrieviation is road model racer.hope this answers it for you.

Thanks for the terms. I kinda wish it was something more catchy, but it all fits just fine. How about the RR?

My manual reads "Race Replica" but some claim it stands for race ready or road racer.

CB is the engine designator. CB = inline 4. The R well you should know what that means

Another example. Hondas V-Twins are VT. Hence the VTR 1000 or the RC-51.

Just in case your still stuck on the R it means racing.

The RC-51's are offically called RVT SP-1 and SP-2's...
