Use CBR1000RR forks on my motorcycle
Hello, I have an Aprilia shiver, which is a nice bike with undersprung and overdamped non-adjustable forks.
What I would like to do is swap the forks with a nicer pair of adjustable forks. Ideally it would just be removing the Aprilia forks and bolting on a different pair of forks.
I am looking to replace the forks with oem 06-09 CBR1000RR
forks, because the brake discs are the same diameter, the fork travel is the same, the inner tubes are the same 43mm, and used forks are readily available.
What I would like help with would be finding the dimensions of the above years of oem forks. The dimensions I would need would be:
top triple clamp tube diameter
bottom triple clamp tube diameter
total fork length
right axle holder diameter
left axle holder diameter
distance between fork legs
distance between brake caliper bolts
This would be the minimum to find if the forks would fit in the current clamps, if not, I may be asking for steering stem dimensions.
Can anybody help me out?
