Default Undertail

I like the idea of having an untertail to "clean up" around the muffler, but I wasn't a fan of how much more color it added to the bike and how it made the tail look fat (for a lack of better words):

I also wasn't a fan of the $200 price tag. BUT... I won a bid on eBay for $60 (total). I just didn't want to add any more color, so I went with black. I am very happy with the results and I thought I would share a few pics in case anyone else was wondering what a black undertail would look like on the Red/Black CBR. As you can see, the black practically disappears and really cleans up the underside IMO

looks very nice...how was the install? is it my eyes playing tricks on me, or is there a gap just under the tailight? i had to do some "convincing" on mine and it still is'nt perfect...but, it does clean up underneath the underside...

Well i like the hotbodies undertail... I installed it on mines and made it to where my clear alternatives turnsignals work with the undertail turn signals at the same time...

Looks good. How do like the scorpion exhaust. Looking to buy one and you are the first I've seen. Sorry to change subject.

kravguy: Mine didn't even come with instructions so it took me a while to figure it out. I removed the black blastic piece behind the taillight (on the inside/underside of the tail, you will have to remove the seat cowling before you will see it). Once I did that, everything fit flush. There are no gaps, that is just a reflection (Plexus is an awesome spray polish!)

I,like Robbskittles, also have intigrated turnsignals (i.e. Clear Alternatives) working with my undertail blinkers. Nice and bright - makes me feel a little safer.

As for the scorpion exhaust, I really like it. It is a little louder than a Yosh pipe, but quieter than all the other pipes I have heard. It might not be the best pipe to get as far as HP is concerned, but I still reccommend it.
