Default Tires

OK, so I just got my new tires on yesterday (Pilot Powers 2ct) I couldnt ride till today because it was raining like crazy. I was a little worried about balancing the tires cause the shop where I had it done just did static balancing and when I picked up the tires on the wheels, it looked like the same weights were still on them. But anyway, I took it out today for a speed test. I ran it up to about 115 and it was smooth as silk so I'm hoping there is no problem. I did notice a big difference in the way it handles though!!! It just falls into a curve effortlessly now though you have to work some to bring it back upright......It used to be just the opposite, I used to have to really work going into a curve..... I think the old tires must have had a flatter surface and these are more oval shaped. Its gonna take some getting used to but seem to stick pretty good so far...... I'm impressed....

New tires are the best, you dont realize how much your old ones stink till you get new ones.

Well I found the best deal I could on the internet then went to a local bike repair shop and asked them what they could get them for..... they quoted me a much higher price so I started to leave, the owner asked me what price I had found, I told him and he matched the price and for 10 dollars more he thru in shipping, and mount and balance so I got both tires installed for $350.00. Pilot powers 2ct are a duel compound tire, a blended rubber technology that puts a harder rubber in the center for extended life and a softer rubber on the sides for grip in the turns. they also have a racier profile that puts more rubber on the ground in a hard lean. So yeah, I think they are a good all around tire......maybe the best for semi aggressive street use........

I know the feeling. I just went out for my first mountain ride on my newBT-016's yesterday. Love new tires and multi-compounds rock. 2ct's were myfirst choice but they weren't in stock, but I'm very happy with the Bridgestones.

I have the Bridgestone BT-016s on my 08 1KRR. Went with the 190-55-17 rear tire. Really happy so far.

i swear by the 2ct i have ran them on all 3 of my bikes, and had 4 sets total, they last a while, n rarely ever slip even when beating on them, the only tire i have road that i would even consider is the diablo corsa III
