Default Tires??

Which tires would be suitable for good grip and longer tread life +168mph rated?? I do touring around the country a lot and I like hard curves and always go fast....what would be the best tire for me? I heard the Michelin pilot road tires are good for me?!
Please advice.

Try Michelin Pilot Powers or Dunlop Qualifiers. Don't expect either to last over 3000 to 4000 miles depending on how you ride.

I think the pilot powers will last longer than the dunlops..The dunlops compound is very soft, it offers great grip but it wears very quick! The pilot powers are sticky but last well.

What about Michelin pilor road?? they are in category road/sport on michelin website, for 1000rr they give that tire as an option. The speed rating on that tire is 168+MPH

I know that pilot power are sweet in corners and go wild....but I go on long trips and like to ride fast on freeways....that would wear tread fast on powers!!! I think I will go with pilot road. What is better size on front 110/70ZR-17 or 120/70ZR-17 or 120/60ZR-17 ???

In regards to tire size I would not go with anything other then what the manufacture suggests unless you are one of those guys who slams their bike and just wants to go fast in strait lines, "not that there's anything wrong with that".

I only got 1700 miles out fo a set of road attacks, but I do ride hard in the curves. BT-015s lasted 1200 miles rear and 1700 front. I'm going to try the pilot powers next.
