Tire plug ??

RE: Tire plug ??
Be careful, I here they sometimes get pulled out when hot. The problem with a plug is the tire is not thick
enough to hold it securely. I used a patch plug, and it worked perfectly. Since I mount and balance my own tires,
I picked up the patch plug at Pep-Boys, and installed it. Cost less than $2

RE: Tire plug ??
My theory on plugging a perfectly good tire is that there is nothing to prevent getting a nail in that 200.00 tire leaving the dealership, then what? turn back around a drop a 200.00? I realize the best solution is a new tire, but at the same time, no I'm never riding around at Z rated speeds, heck I seldom hit S rated speed (or now a days it is no rating to do 100).
