What other colors did they have left? Last I talked to them they were putting together one of the red ones?

Hard to believe a few months back that same bike had a retail for more than what you just paid! LOL

Those ktm dukes look awesome but they still had like 10grand on it? That thing will continue to sit!

Oh so you bought it new? It looks familiar!

That looks exactly like mine about 3 months ago, I couldn't pass it up.

My favorite part of the 08 is the exhaust. That color is my favorite (except as you know I would want to do something with the silver.)

Wish I could find a great deal on a used one!

I don't know what else they had in stock but the sales guy told me that was the last Red/Silver one they had. I didn't see any other CBR1k's on the floor last week but that place has storage area upstairs and who knows where else.

With the nice weather I've been able to get out a few times on this one and all I can say is that it's waaaay too much fun. My other bike is a BMW 1200GS and it's an amazing all-around bike but for pure 'hang on for your life' fun the CBR is hard to beat.

When I talked to one of the guys he said they have another building and they actually put bikes together there.

The weather has been great! This will be my first winter in TX. We just got back from MI yesterday and it was crazy when we were exiting DFW and holding our breath for when the door to the outside opened! Coming back from windows in the car having frost on the inside and walking into 70 degrees was REALLY nice!

I've also heard that this has been a pretty warm winter, is this true?

It's been a warm winter so far but it's normally in the 40's this time of year and it varies wildly. We'll get our turn.

I'm use to the weather varying quite a bit. Growing up in MI we had days where it was single digits to 80 degrees walking around with shorts and a t-shirt with melting snow all around. I'll take the crazy change and usually warmer than 30 degrees anyday...although I figured the temperature stayed higher than the 50's during winter in TX. Oh well!

Indeed, loving it so far

Still learning and still taking it easy so I'm the chicken strip king right now but by spring I should be up to speed.

My wife is stillhappy beinga passenger, and then only on the GS because she's afraid of the CBR right now. But she is making noises about taking the MSF course this summer and says if she does I can ride the BMW and she's taking the CBR...[sm=smiley6.gif]
