TARGA TAIL KITS
What's up everybody. New to the site here. I was wondering if someone could give me some help here. I just bought a Targa Fender Eliminator kit for my 04 1K. Installation was easy until I get down to hooking up the LED license plate light. I have tried everything that I know of to hook it up. For some reason when I hook the wires up to the existing license plate light wires it does not work. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this issue fixed?
All the fuses are good. I evenhooked the old light up and that worked fine. The LED lights will not work now. I am not sure if it b/c the wires on the LED are so thin and the regular tail lights are thick??
That was gonna be my next tip to him. Yeah, LEDs are polarized, they only work hooked up one way, so reverse the wiring on the leads.
ORIGINAL: WolfPack
reverse the wires to the LED's....... i think the LED's only work wired a certain direction...

Are ya'll talking about the wires that come out of the LED? I have tried reversing the wires for hook up and that did not work either. The only advise that I got from 1 Tail is to take it to a shop to get looked at and I really didn't want to take it that far.
1. If you have a test light you can see if you have power to the number plate wires(with ignition on), if thats ok then
2. Touch the two wires of the LED your trying to connect to a 12v battery(bike or car, doesn't matter, and try reversing the wires cause they only work one way but won't harm it if you cross them)that way yousee if your problem is a blown LED.
