Synthetic Oil, Good or Bad?

Synthetic Oil, Good or Bad?
Are you using Synthetic oil?
Do you prefer the synthetic blend?
Do you feel any differences with the operation of your bike?
I have gotten different reponses to the use of Syn oil and the blends. People are saying it wears your clutch plates a little faster, but your engine life should be longer with Synthtic use. I want to know how it's working on our bikes: CBR1000RR's.
Any info or input would be appeciated.
P.S. I have 4100 miles on my CBR1000RR. We are told we can start using Synthetic oil after 4000 miles.

RE: Synthetic Oil, Good or Bad?
I used Castrol Syntech but I would not reccommend it. I followed the guidlines and bought the non-energy conserving oil. My shifting seemed to be the same or even a little rougher.
Then I tried Repsol Synthetic. It was more expensive, but well worth it. My bike shifts very smooth with a solid feel. I will always pay more and buy this oil from now on. You should try it at least once (I bought the 10W-50)
