This is getting ridiculous! Not one person I know would stop for blue lights if thats the case. Hell the punishment for running is less severe. Especially when it's at the officers discretion as to what you were doing was a stunt or not. Thats bogus! I personally stunt in parking lots and abandoned roads but the occassional wheelie and what not is expected. Fast Tags will be on order soon and my middle finger will go up to any law enforcement officer that tries to take my bike and or license for 10years!
I have to say... this is the biggest pile of SH$T I've EVER seen. This guy really needs to think about what he's about to TRY. As a "STUNT RIDER" living in Ft. Lauderdale, I've been riding street for over 15 years. I ride with about 20-30 people- some kids, some in their 40's - and NOT ONE of them will risk 1. Losing thier bikes (most guys love their bikes more than their wives) 2. Losing their MC endorsement for TEN YEARS, and 3. A nite in the clink.. IT JUST WON'T HAPPEN.. FLIP THAT TAG, downshift, and REDLINE EVERY GEAR.. If this bulls%it passes, I GUARANTEE MORE FATALITIES. It's only going to cause MORE highway speeding.. cuz when the disco lites come on, I'M GONE! It'll take a catastrophic engine failure, broken chain or a flat for me to stop. EVERYBODY IN FLORIDA- PLEASE WRITE TO THIS GUY STATE REP. CARLOS LOPEZ-CANTERA

That is a pretty damn harsh punishment. I can see why they want to stiffen the punishment, looks like people are turning the beltways/highways into their personal track lol. But with a harsher punishment, I don't think they clearly see what they're doing. Now you have people running from the cops in fear of losing their right to do what they like to do, not pulling over for cops in fear of losing their right to do what they love for 10 years... I understand where the cops are coming from, but they're not thoroughly thinking through what they're doing.
Here is a link to the actual Proposedbill. What ever happend to just getting cussed-out by a Trooper for an hour??? This legislation will actully kill people if passed. There is even an underlining tone that they don't care if fatality statistics get worse!!!

Excerpted from the bill I posted above"Crash Data""Data collected by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles indicates that there were5,075 motorcycle crashes in 2000.30 This number increased to 8,990 in 2006.31 In 2000, there wereapproximately 195,300 motorcycles registered in the State. By 2006 the number of motorcycles nearlytripled, rising to 579,275. 32 Data collected by the Department does not make it possible to calculate thenumber of ‘vehicle miles travelled’ specifically for motorcycles, therefore the increase in motorcyclecrashes cannot be compared with the change in miles traveled by motorcycles for the 2000 – 2006time period."
This paragraph just defies logic. Of course you will never be able to estimate miles traveled by motorcycles, this is only a distraction to stop people from making sense of the real data. Also, look at how they jumbled all the data around in the paragraph.
My derived interpretation of the paragraph:
(Year 2000) 195,300 bikes/ 5,075 crashes= 1 in 38riders crashed that year
(Year 2006) 579,275 bikes / 8,990 crashes= 1 in 64 riders crashed that year
Ok, they just proved the point that motorcycles riders are actuallyriding safer.
How in the H$ll is this data not relevant???
Why do we keep electing these politicians if all they do is undermindus???
