FINALLY got my seat sowl in....i ordered the 04-06 RED Hondaline Seat Sowl for my 1000rr after having a targa cowl on backorder for 6 months...lol fits great and looks even better than the targa with the little speed-hump....I wanted the smooth look instead of the huge vents like the hondaline one for the 1000rr... Ended up internetting it for $150 + $30 shipping....not too terribally bad for a $20 piece of plastic....

Still working with the shim washers to get it sitting like it should so the gaps are a little off...but take a look

So let me get this straight. You bought a 600rr seat cowl and put it on your 1000rr. If so I see that it matched up nicely and looks great too!!! Why didn't I think of that.....duuuuuhhhh!! Good job man

the only problem with the 600 cowlis trying to match the 1000rr flake. all the 1000rr or a least the ones i seen have a silver flake to it. but i likethe lookofthat cowl better.it would not be bad to buy one unpaint and get it painted to match. way to take a chance on the 600 cowl it nice to see it paid off for you

 

There's no flake in the red...at least not on the 05..... the cowl is slightly off shade that i would imagine is from the bike being in the sunlight and the cowl being in a dark box...

ill probably have it stripped and custom matched.....that may be a winter project...

 

I got the same one for my 06 1KRR. Fits good and looks good. I like the little bump on it. The red dont match up perfect but its close enough for me

yeah it comes in black.....i got mine at http://www.powersmotorsports.net/ ........... if i were you i would call the parts number to get the part number then order the part through the online page...it was a lower price that way....i think it was $185 or so once you added shipping...

just watch the year models.....i have a 05 1000 and the red 600rr cowl fit the 04-06

black should be pretty dead on colorwise....like i said....mines a half a shade off, but so far im the only one who can tell it.....no one else has been able to see it even when i asked them
