if its just a slip on you don't need to map it. it helps but not a must. if its a full system then you definately need to map it.

Then how come it runs rough like misfiring under 4k rpm? would less noiser(free flow) slip ons do that too?

My friend had the same pipe on his 1k, at first we thought it was a lil too
loud and ran rough under 4k rpm's...But after the install of a pcIII it cleaned
up the roughness and believe it or not brought down the sound a little...

ok Thanks, I'll keep an open mind for a pciii when i get another slip-on cause tommorow i'm putting stock back on
At least that way i can ride without having to look in the mirrors all the time...lol

oh aight, guess its not that big an issue in SC. I have the jardine and never been pulled over for it.
