RE: Slip on help
Take that little cover off the valve with the two screws, losten up some slack in the cables, and you can unhook them from the exhaust side.
once you have some slack in the cables, you can take them off the servo on the left side of the bike. Everyone says to put the servo back to where it was, but i had no problem with that, just turning the key on put it back to where it should be. Once the cables are unhooked from the servo, you should be able to just pull them out, i didnt have to lift the tank or seat or anything.

RE: Slip on help
If your talking about the cables that run to the exaust valve, you can either just tie em up out of the way, or take me off the servo. I think you do want to leave the servo on tho, and plugged it. Have heard some say takin the servo out will cause a trbl light. I just tied mine out of the way, and wrapped e/thing but the ends in heat tape so they wouldn't get ruined.

RE: Slip on help
just to clear up, with a slip on
servo cables must be removed because the pipe is replaced that has the flap
the easiest thing to do is remove the cables from the servo as well
04/05 the servo is located inside the left fairing beside the idle adjustment
06 the servo has been relocated to inside the box that also houses the rear seat lock key switch under the tail
you have to take off the rider seat to get to the screws that hold the box on
the servo itself must be left plugged in or you will get a light
i know for a fact that you can turn it by hand and it will reset itself because i did it to my own bike several times before i removed the cables
