Honda claims a dry weight of less than 400 lbs. I understand that this may not be totaly accurate, but still not bad at all.
Honda claims a dry weight of 388

RE: Should I get a 1000rr?

Thanks, I was asking because for some reason up to this point Honda has been real secretive about the dry weight here in the U.S. In Europe for a few months now they claim a dry weight for the 06 to be 176kg which converts to 388lbs. I am still looking for Honda to openly release the dry weight specs here.

RE: Should I get a 1000rr?

I usually ride with guys that own bikes listed, R1 ZX10 GSXR 1000 and GSXR750 I have never had a problem with keeping up. In fact I have a little more experiance in riding and usually lead the pack. The Honda has a few more pounds but is much more refined. Hydrollic clutch, well sorted suspension, smooth powerand, better ergos. The only negative I can mention would be the board like seat and poor gas mileage. but then again it is a sportbike. I would buy the May issue of Sport Rider and read for yourself. Literbike comparoson.
