Shifting difficulties
Hello anyone, I have a 2011 cbr 1000rr.
i bought it about a month ago and running fine.
last ride on it, she didn’t want to upshift from 2nd to 3rd when I’m in the taller part of the gear.
when I would stay under 6k rpms I would have no problem upshifting whatsoever.
i tries yanking up and it just felt like there was no more gears to grab.
please chime in someone
Thanks, Jesse

Thanks for reply.
So the bike has 17k miles on it. The guy I bought it from said he barely rode it, and it looks like it.
Its in clean condition. Now I have no idea about the previous owner he bought it from.
I did change oil right after symptoms.
I also pulled clutch basket out and inspected basket, plates, fibers, shift shaft, etc.
I inspected, cleaned, and adjusted shifter linkage.
I adjusted clutch cable as well.
The only two things that stood out to me were that the plates/ fibers were dry.
Also the damping springs on the backside of the slipper clutch basket are clearly worn out.

Hmmm, I'm not experienced at all in that area BUT... is it possible that by drying out, the plates may have warped??? Beyond that,
