Are there any seats on the market rather than that stock one. Man that thing is like sitting on a park bench when you are riding over 200 miles on a sunday ride out here in southern cali. Please give me some web sites or some info. Thanks everyone

corbin or sargent both make aftermarket seats that are widely popular and more comfortable than stock. i've also heard that the 2006 cbr1k seat was redesigned and softer than the older ones. hope this helps

I swear by my Sargent seat... literally the best mod I've made to my 1000RR! Quality is top-notch, and looks fabulous too.

Cheers

How long have you had it, once i got used to mine it wasn`t an issue. I find it quite comfy now.

I got mine end of last June... had it about 2-wks before I did a 1950-mile trip to the USGP. It was comfortable fom the get-go; no break in time needed. I have about 6200+ miles on it now. I bought the matching rear seat cover (you simply staple it over the OEM rear seat). I have a little over 10,000 miles now (it's a '05), so I did do a fair amout of miles on the stock seat. No comparing the difference - seriously. I never take a pillion, so I can't vouche for the rear, but I'd presume no difference in comfort... or the lack there of.

I have a red/blk colour scheme, thus my seat has the red piping - looks do bomb. I receive tonnes of compliments on it.

Cheers

I had mine since october and already have close to 7 thousand miles on it. So still would like a better and cooler looking seat.
