I lifted my gas tank up the other day and in a rage ripped off the rubber shield . My question is what is it, is it crytical and where does it go when i put it bck in? If any one has pics of this please let me know. Thanks. oh p.s what does bump mean i have always wandered that.

 

i wouldn't say it is critical but it definitely plays a part in saving the tank from engine vibration
