That is a sweet pipe. How does it sound? I am back on an I-4 bike after having a couple of Italian twins (bikes that is) and I don't know much about the different pipes for these bikes. I like how the 1000 has a deeper sound to it and I'd like to keep that, or get more of it, plus let out that banshee top end scream.

I just got back from my local dealer asking the parts guy about this pipe, he hadn't seen it yet, but knew of other Yosh pipes with carbon tips and said he had heard of the tips coming apart before. Anyone here validate that? I almost don't care, that damn pipe would look so good on my all black 1000rr!

Hey Teedub. This is Justin from Orchards WA., (I talked to you the other day about going riding with our group).. If your wanting deep sound, my Arata ti. puts out some serious bass at idle. I'll bring my bike by the pawn shop and let you here it some time. As far as the carbon tipped Yosh goes, I too have heard about the carbon tips cracking to pieces. I f I were to have gone with the RS5 I would get the carbon with the stainless tip.

That would be great Justin, I'd love to check out your bike. How was the ride Saturday? I had a great "maiden voyage" on Sunday up 14 to Carson, around to Cougar and back to the Couv through Amboy on 503. Got those tires scrubbed! Man, this bike feels awesome. Getting on the freeway Sunday, power wheelie in first at about 9500rpm. Kind of caught me by suprise, but there was no drama, she just set down nice and easy as I grabbed second gear!

I wasn't able to go out on Sat. but we did head out on Sun. We rode out to Or. City and then headed out to some good roads towards Molalla and then to downtown P-town to chill at Starbucks on 23rd ave. As far as the power wheelie goes, those suprise stand-ups really make you app. the HESD. It has done a good job of protecting me from a couple of possible tankslappers. Let me know when your working next and I'll try to stop by.
