I have both the front and rear Vortex stands. I love the rear stand but I just got the front one and I had some problems with it. First, the bolts that fasten in the hinge of the stand were not the right size and I broke one of them and bent the other (almost broke it too) trying to tighten them down. The stand would not get tight at the hinge and was very easy to move with my hand so I know it would not hold the weight of the bike. I just bought to regulart 1/2" bolts and that took care of that problem. The other problem I have with the front stand is I can't figure out how to get the pin back to the tree to attach it to the bike. I know where to put the pin but the space is too small between the front fender and the front fairing (the space right below the lights). It says to make sure the bike is secure on the rear stand before using the front stand but I just can't seem to figure out a way to get the front stand on without tearing the heck out of the front fairing. Just my $.02.
